I am once again plugging Top of The Chain's sale page.  Usually I look at the discounted stuff as the stuff that isn't selling and the vendor wants to move it and I figure that's true in this case too but if you want to try some Wholly Kaw siero base soap but think its too expensive then now is your opportunity because ts heavily discounted on TotC.  Denarius, Tempest and Ice Tea are there for the taking up to 50% off.  Now, to be fair, I did not care for the scent of either Tempest or Denarius but Ice Tea is great and I did buy a discounted back up.  Just to bring my average cost base down.  Really.  Big Grin

In the ‘80s, there was a trumpet busker outside of the Kingdome for home Seahawks games. His “tip jar” was a coffee can with this label taped to it: “No Canadian Coins, Please.”

By the way, Top of the Chain is my primary retail source (when not buying directly from an artisan). Tremendous service and pricing, even for a US customer like me.

I got a 404.

Waiddaminit - Looks like they moved it to https://topofthechain.ca/collections/sale

I keep forgetting about Top of the Chain, even though I got my Sterling 2-Band Synthetic brush from them. They have a lot of brands that my usual Canadian sources (Italian Barber, Fendrihan) don't have.

Ooh - they have Iroshizuku fountain pen ink too.  Happy2

I'm glad you found it - it comes and goes seemingly at random.  There are some good brands up for sale - the Hub City Soaps are excellent, I have Chats with Grandpa and really like it - the scent is basically the same as the Stirling Barbershop scent which I also really like.

Carmine has been adding premium brands as well as other higher end non-shaving stuff like pens and ink, leather briefcases etc which is where Fendrihan has been for a while.  For some reason Italian Barber seems to be sitting on the sideline a lot.  Maybe Joe is focussing on the razo-rock machined razors and doesn't have the time or energy or capital(?) for the software side.  He's always had a ton of eclectic stuff that I don't have any interest in but I'm sure he knows his market.  The part of Ontario he is situated in has a huge Italian population - I recall reading somewhere that its the largest Italian speaking population in the world outside of Italy.  Not sure if thats accurate, but it would explain the large amount of Italian made everyday grooming products on IB

I'm bumping this thread just because I was looking at the great deals Carmine has on his sale page - Hub City Soaps are almost $10 off.  Thats a good deal.
