I’m really enjoying the Rockwell 6C, it’s an excellent razor! It’s also refreshing not worrying about scratching the finish and keeping it clean like I did when I had higher end razors. I definitely understand the obsession with the higher end razor as their beautiful and shave great, I used to be caught up in that too ?

I worried about the zamac material deteriorating or breaking or threading issues and so traded up for a Rockwell 6S. I prefer the shave of my Rockwell 6S, but for rock solid quality for reasonable cost in a razor that I can use without worry, it's still got to be RazoRock 0.84 SB. None have been my favorite shaves, but I have had three RazoRock razors now and the quality is incredible. Minor scratches from usage give them character, whereas they look more like flaws on higher end razors. (Yeah, I know, it's probably all in my head.)

1. RazoRock GC .84 SB
2. Gillette Tech
3. Rockwell 6C
Honorable Mention: Merkur 34C and Yates 921-M
Finally tried the popular GC .84 and it has jumped to the top of my list. Probably the best balance of smoothness and efficiency in a razor.
Also tried the Yates 921-M and it's probably tied with the Merkur 34c. Both mild razors that are really smooth.
As of now, Wolfman WR2 and Blackland Ti Blackbird are the only two modern DEs that I'd still like to try at some point. Can't justify purchasing at their price points though.
