Titanium Razors

I don’t know if this is a just me thing or what but, I have several titanium razors both polished and not and all of them seem to be somewhat “draggy”. In other words they don’t slide smoothly across my skin regardless of the soap, lather or how much moisture is present.  It’s such that I’m committing (hopefully) to not buying any more and possibly moving those that I have.  For whatever reason, steel does the job for me and titanium doesn’t so I’ll restrict my titanium to that used in my hip and any future prosthetic joints I may require! 

Does anyone else experience this or am I, in fact, an alien?

There may be others with similar feelings but I don't get the draggy at all that I've noticed. I wonder if you just rely on the extra weight of the SS powering thru and the lighter Ti doesn't provide that for you.

No dragging here. Possibly conflating pressure required with super light razor with drag or stiction?

A worn blade in my Blackland Ti will drag noticeably

It’s not the blade but the safety bar and top cap. Maybe it’s a weight issue. I do use the T34, I mean the Rockwell 6s a lot and it’s a heavyweight razor for sure. Maybe I should grow a beard for a while to reset my sensors and start back in with lighter weight titanium razors.

I don't believe I've noticed that phenomenon.  
Like suggested above maybe the inertia of the SS weight just moving on through the whiskers.

I don't get drag with my Titanium razors. However, they aren't necessarily as smooth as my stainless steel ones, but it's a minuscule amount. 
I've found brass razors to be, somewhat, similar to Titanium in feel on my skin.

I don't notice any drag but I prefer the weight of stainless steel and sold all of my Ti razors and aluminum as well.

Ti Razors for me need a bit of adjustment with Pressure and control. SS razors do all the work literally with the weight. Many will disagree but I found the Blackland Blackbird to be smoother in SS. Having said that I like the Ti version the best. I haven't felt any drag with my TI razors just that sometimes the SS versions are smoother.

There is something about 316 Stainless Steel that is just hard to beat. The Look, the heft, the coolness on the skin, the glide quality, it is like a man's rugged yet shiny shaving tool.

Truth told, excepting the unending maintenance to maintain polish, strongly favour Cu. That stated, even for cookware, stick with SS for time efficiency...jury out on Ti....
