Delighted to report that the first shave on a 48hrs growth with my new BB Ti went exceptionally well. The final result -BBS- is indistinguishable from the result using my SS BlackBirds in all finishes. But I did miss the length of a 101mm handle.
However, the shaving experiences differ between the SS and Ti for me. While I wish I had a Ti 101mm handle, I did enjoy the lower weight of the Ti BB. I felt that the Ti BB was gentler and more delicate on the skin. When I shave with a SS BB, its head never leaves the skin even if I don’t apply additional pressure. The Ti BB was “less assertive” and was removing fewer epithelial cells together with the stubble . I felt the most difference during the third ATG pass - it was more comfortable with the Ti BB.
The audio feedback was also less pronounced but still very clear and helpful. I did not notice any dragging or skipping, which is the same with the SS Birds in any finish in my experience.
All in all, I am very glad that I purchased a Ti BB and I will certainly buy a 101mm Ti handle. I am even considering to buy another Ti BB but polished.

If you add with the Ti razor the stand will be Ti, too. You can also buy the ss stand separately if you'd like something heavier.
I realize that the website is getting to be a bit confusing with all the different versions and options we have now. The site just wasn't really thought out with all these future things in mind. That is certainly not lost on me and I promise it's being worked on so things like this are clearer. We're building out a new site over the next few weeks/months and it should help with things like this.

Though I have been drooling over the looks of Ti but still would prefer some folks to review the razor 1st so that it's easier to make my mind. Wait n watch...I would.

To those who have used Ti...how do you rate it in terms of aggressiveness compared to a CG lvl 2.

I have always wanted to love a blackbird, I bought the original Kickstarter version, a polished one the jet black one and I always got a great result but it was never very comfortable to me. I got my Titanium today and just did a WTG, XTG shave with ETHOS Success soap and got a wonderfully smooth 2 pass shave on 24 hrs growth. I will need to use it for several days to see if it was just right today or if the Titanium really did make the difference but with a 2nd use PermaSharp I got a great date night shave tonight

Mostly nothing, but emails and posts probably have some effect . I’m trying to make decisions based on numbers so if the Ti sales data which will come over the next few weeks combined with the 101mm SS sales data makes a compelling case for producing these then we’ll do it. Simple as that. And if the data says that I’ll have $10k worth of not-heavy-enough paperweights sitting on a shelf for a year then we won’t. Also possible that we’ll do a limited batch to appease the fans because I appreciate you and want to see you guys happy. So just hang in there because the decision won’t be made for a while.
