I'm thinking of getting one of Tipsoft's 24mm badger brushes. However I'm not sure what knot to get. Does anyone own any and has opinions on the various knots they offer as far as softness and density of knot etc. I'm particularly interested in the HMW and the Superfine 2 band Blonde badger they offer. Thanks.

I have a HMW, 26 mm knot.  Soft, good density but has not stopped shedding since the day I got it.  If you look around you will find that Tipsoft shedding is a widely known problem. Also, the brush they sent had no logo! They told me I didn't buy an expensive enough brush - $140.

For the money, check out Vie-Long Epsilon 2- and 3-band series at Gifts&Care website.  Far better in softness and quality of construction than Tipsoft.

Thanks for the info. You are not the first person that I have heard mention the word shedding with regards to Tipsoft brushes.

I don't think I've ready anything positive about them but have ready plenty of negative.

If if was me, I would look af a more well regarded brush...Shavemac, Paladin, Simpson, Thater etc

+1 Agree with VL Epsilon. Its a hard to find any other quality brush with VL Epsilon price range. You will not be disappointed if you decide to get an Epsilon.

One of the great values in brushes IMHO. I have an Epsilon 2-band 27mmx55mm that is the densest brush I own. Wonderful brush and great vendor.

Well watch this space to tell me "I told you so" because I ordered a Blonde extra dense badger from Tipsoft. It was on sale at $58 delivered tracked to the UK so at least I didn't pay top dollar if it sheds like a Chernobyl stray dog!

I had some problems getting the Tipsoft brush I originally started this thread about. Since I ordered it and it eventually arrived my Gustavo Romera brush has been shipped and i have ordered a Brad Sears brush so I initially put it up for sale unused. I had no takers but as it worked out I'm kinda glad. I'm using it tonight but with a few clean out lathers it has bloomed up nicely and the gel tips are excellent. It could do with being a bit more dense for my liking but what should I have expected for £45 delivered.
