I’ve tried one of the Solingen Timor blades so far, and to be honest, it was pretty bad. I’ve had little luck with German-made blades. I do like the Wilkinsons, though. Bolzanos are OK, too.
I won’t make a final judgement regarding the Timors until I’ve used another one in a different razor, though. Very nice of LOOT to offer some for testing, good luck Jgreenepa and let us know how things go!

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

I revisited Timor 2-3 days back. Felt little bit of tugging and uneasiness during the shave. In my opinion it's a below average blade with an above average packaging.

Sorry for the delay in not getting back to all. I took the blades with me on vacation, and thank God I had my faithful Voskhods with me. My experience with the blades was not positive. There was a lot of tugging I’m pulling indicative of a blade that was not as sharp as I am used to. So I’m not a fan, but I am very grateful to Loot for giving me the opportunity to try them. No that was just with one blade, and in fairness I will give it another try. Again,YMMV.
Enjoy your shapes,
Jeff

Exactly my experiences. I have however had good luck recently with the little known Wilkinson Sword Economie made in Germany.
Judging by the comments here, it seems that the price of these blades is anything but justified. I still haven’t had a chance to use a second blade. After my experience with the first, I haven’t exactly been in a rush to try one again…
