That's the Patek grandmaster chime. A horological feat, to be sure.

Feast your eyes on this beast.

This is my oldest timepiece. My wife to be gave me the watch and chain for graduating college in 1982.

My parents gave  me the little knife for Christmas of 1982.

Both are engraved with my initials.

The inside cover is engraved with my wife's name and the date.

It is a 17 jewel hand wound movement.

I typically only use it for special occasions. I love it and the history of it.

It is classically beautiful, Phil. It's a family heirloom to be treasured.

My wife noticed me looking at watches lately & surprised me with this. I love the simplicity of the face and the thinness of the case. It will be perfect for work. This is my first leather band on a watch in a long time and it feels fantastic.

Brian, that watch is a beauty. Your wife's taste is superb. Happy2

I have been wanting a Skagen for some time now. I may start looking at them again.
