Big Thank you to Matt at Timeless. I received my Ti slim baseplate yesterday but because it results in a longer thread from the top cap my Ti handle could not tighten fully. He immediately responded that some of the original polished Ti handles were not threaded deep enough and he was sending me a new handle with a return label to send back my original one. What great customer service.

Too long even if you use a nylon washer? This is good to know if buying or mixing parts on BST. Thanks.

I believe it was only with some of the original handles as it is solid and not threaded as deep. Don’t know about washers. I really hate using them

Mark, did you go with the SB or OC baseplate? I never really thought about it until yesterday that all I would need is the baseplate only since I have the rest of the razor but I wish Matt would reconsider and offer a DC option for the head... Can't wait to hear how this works out for you.

Just got my OC titanium slim base. I will use it with the stainless scalloped top cap tomorrow. Should be interesting! I have always found the Timeless OC to be the most comfortable because of the curved combs.

Great, I now have another razor to add to my list. Luckily, there are tons of razors I don't even need to consider, as I know I prefer high-efficiency razors because I only do a single WTG or XTG pass. I tried the Timeless .95 in a pass around and found it to be not quite efficient enough. With a huge sigh of relief, because I didn't need to save up a few hundred dollars, I stopped worrying about the Timeless offerings.

I am one that has greatly benefited from the various pass arounds. I was able to pass on at least 2 or 3 razors and I ended up buying a Rex Ambassador (thanks to Gus GlazedBoker). I also benefit from them even when I don't participate. Even if only 50% post their thoughts in detail, that's usually still a lot of information.

2nd use with the Ti OC SLIM. Two passes resulting in an easy BBS. I rate the OC SLIM 8/10 but very smooth using a Feather blade.

I had a 68 OC and wonder now if a 95 SB or OC would be better for me. Always assumed it would be too much for me but have been curious lately with all the discussion.

You rate the OC Slim 8/10 overall? For context, if you don’t mind me asking, what are your most highly rated razors, and how do you rate them?
