I like both the old and slim base plates, but it is a shame they can't somehow keep the nice rounded curve of the old bar on the new base plate. It's like how more curl adds more character to a good handlebar mustache.
Yeah, caps look slightly different. I think they said parts were interchangeable which doesn't necessarily mean the same.

Maybe its just the picture, but the top cap on the slim baseplate looks thinner to me also... I would like to see more close up pics of the top caps side by side to get a better idea. I hope Matt changes his mind down the road and makes a DC Thin plate also as I have become spoiled with my Ti95DC being my only razor that I own... OC 1st pass / SB 2nd pass BBS every other day!!

Matt has explicitly confirmed that only the base plate is different.

What was the exposure of the original?
Okay looked it up. Original .95 is the same as the slim, 0.05 exposure. The .68 is neutral.

Okay, I confess ... I'm challenged when it comes to higher mathematics  Tongue

So 0.05 is the equivalent of .95 ?

Why doesn't Timeless just say .95 instead of confusing dullards like me ?

Probably so people don't confuse it with the .95 as they say this one has more blade reveal if I understood correctly........But thanks for the math !

Hi Jimmy

I think in my view it's a pretty good and balance I like both Stainless and Titanium, I reached out to Medina Brothers and spoke to Matt they are all sold out of them and from what I seen it's fantastic yet shaves nice and looks really nice that slim look and top cap it's exceptional.

I'm getting on my way stainless steel timeless with scalloped head and plate .68 and slim version as well, I will be getting scratch and dent and part's are Raw no Teflon etc..I requested and they been kind enough to send I to me as it a lot easier to polish depending in parts what to water sand etc..

I will post it here as usual...

Give a try Jimmy to new slim baseplate it's worth it..I seen Chris IMCDB on YouTube did shave last night and was pretty awesome shave.

Take Care

Alan

Jimmy, it looks like this

0.5mm gap, 0.05mm exposure
0.68mm gap, neutral exposure
0.95mm gap, 0.05mm exposure

Would help if they didn't mix units
