I’m getting one slim baseplate coming to me among with scratch and dent Stainless steel and Aluminum razor to match my timeless family..

As per slim head I was having chat with Medina brothers and Matt says it .05 for sure will be different shave from .68 or .95

Do not press on it and gets smooth close shave this I was sceptical but these guys know what they are doing...

I’ll post photos once I get it if anyone will get cut is me lol as I use mild razors anyways.

This is a good thing from timeless and looks really nice love the rinsing channels..and on slim head looks cool..

Take care

I can see it in the stainless head, but I'm wondering if the slim head in Ti will be too much of a good thing in terms of lighter weight ? Just thinking out loud.  Rolleyes

Looking forward to receiving mine. The challenge will be finding the correct angle of approach and maintaining the light touch. Not surprised they are already sold out. Matt mentioned to me that they were going faster than Timeless could make them.

For a moment, I thought that was the Rick Harrison Micro Touch razor!  Big Grin

Looks to me like the top cap on the right is lower profile, yet sounds like Timeless is saying the top cap remains the same?

I like both the old and slim base plates, but it is a shame they can't somehow keep the nice rounded curve of the old bar on the new base plate. It's like how more curl adds more character to a good handlebar mustache.

Yeah, caps look slightly different. I think they said parts were interchangeable which doesn't necessarily mean the same.

I asked Timeless also and they said there have been no changes to the top cap... Only the base plate has changed. That photo appears to be capturing the razor heads at an ever so slightly different angle, causing an optical effect.

Maybe its just the picture, but the top cap on the slim baseplate looks thinner to me also... I would like to see more close up pics of the top caps side by side to get a better idea. I hope Matt changes his mind down the road and makes a DC Thin plate also as I have become spoiled with my Ti95DC being my only razor that I own... OC 1st pass / SB 2nd pass BBS every other day!!
