Thank you for posting the link to your website - beautiful article.  You have very articulately put forth why these sorts of forums exist, because it is about more than just the shaving and shaving stuff.  There have been some posts/discussion recently about community and community mores and behaviours.  Generally respectful but not always and that's fine.  Some people just express themselves differently even if they're well intentioned.  IN any case you've renewed my desire to attend one of these meet ups - being in Canada its a bit more of a trip - I can just see the Customs guy holding a shaving brush up for closer inspection asking me if its best badger, silver tip or high mountain white.  Big Grin But I still want to get to one of these.

Attending one of the larger meetups is awesome, but like I mentioned, the latest episode of I'd Lather Be Shaving has some great recommendations for putting together your own local meetup. It's worth it. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed myself last year. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for writing.  I just read your post on following your heart and I thought it was excellent.  You're bookmarked to my favourites  Happy2  Have you ever considered making a podcast?  I say that only because I'm selfish and find that I fill my driving time with podcasts.  Reading while driving is dangerous Smile

Thanks. It's something I 'might' consider in the future. I've always been better with written word, which is part of what motivated me to start the website. I'm still focusing on building a writing habit and finding my voice at the moment, but I have a few friends who've expanded into YouTube and Podcasting recently, so it's possible, but probably not for a while. I want to create content that people will find both useful and entertaining, and right now the best way I know how to do that is through writing.

No I did not see that episode.

Enough going on in my personal life and at work that I'll certainly not start organizing any meetups in the foreseeable future.

I have been part of several meetups and not so small events in the past and know how much time they cost everyone involved.

Not doable for me.
