While Eric’s pics are very nice. I prefer the “rustic” look of everything sitting on a Barber towel. Wink
That plus I’m lazy. Sooo there’s that too.

Second, your photos are incredible. May I ask what light box you use? I’ve been wanting to get one.

Feel free to PM me if you’d like.

Thanks!

I have used a towel plenty of times lol.

Yes it is pink(mauve really, but close enough), and there is a sentimental story behind it.

And one outdoor pic from a very memorable shave.

Razor: The Halma Shear & Razor Works PEP
Brush: Stirling boar
Soap: WCS Oriental
Aftershave: Floid Mentolado Vigaroso

You know you have too many straight razors when you have one that you purchased shave ready several weeks ago and are just now getting around to using it. The PEP was advertised as having been finished on a Jnat, and the signature hazy finish on the edge seems to verify that. It was popping hairs like a boss on the HHT so I had good hopes for it's performance, and it did not let me down. Three passes left me with a very nice DFS+, and a hefty glug of the Floid capped things off nicely.

The latest cigar box came out the best so far. It looks like using spray paint is a winner for smaller areas. It also takes less time to dry, which is a plus. The last bit of excess flocking still needs to be brushed/blown out, but you can get a good idea of how it looks already.

I also stopped by another cigar shop and asked about empties for sale. He took me into the back room, and there were so many I didn't have time to go through them all. I did grab a few nice ones, but the best by far was this one.

That box came out so nice! Professional looking job there. Just counted then out... 16 slots? That's a lot of razor... But something tells me you have more than that? Lol.

Thanks! The boxes are a work in progress. I'm making each one a bit better than the last, and even picked one up for the express purpose of storing my Jnat and Naguras, though I'll likely pad it with something more substantial.

I'm pretty impressed with the Jasper as a finishing stone. I want to try finish a couple more razors on it, and see if the back can be used as a good mid-range substitute, but I can send it back any time. How is your honing going?

I haven't actually counted my straights in a couple years, but if you include the many that are in various stages of restoration, as well as those that just need new scales, I might be able to fill up a few of those boxes lol.

Winner of a shave today. Man I love this Easy Aces! The software and hardware combined to deliver a fantastic three pass BBS. A massive glug of AS and I left the shave den feeling and smelling amazing.
