How does the Ghost Ti differ from the Ghost 90 SS besides the weights?

Hi Keith, it has to shave differently.  One has a .7 gap (Ti) and the other .9 (SS).

For me the 90SB is a bit more efficient but the Ghost Ti is smoother and I can still attain a bbs.
My preference leans towards lighter heads so I usually choose the Ghost Ti.

This is a mirror reflection of my own opinion on the Ti Ghost. Of the three, Ti Ghost, Ghost 90SB SS and the Salient, I prefer the Ti Ghost for a close everyday shave. The only similarity I see between the Ghost vs Salient is the blade clamping... similar to the Blutt or Wolfman Guerrilla. The bottom geometry of the baseplate is different and the head is thinner/flatter.

Admittedly, as my first purchase of a China made razor, I was surprised and impressed. I use mine paired with a Ti Windrose handle for a light nimble shaver.

Yep that makes total sense. They sound fairly close to each other as one would expect. Ti is a nice addition.

I tried the .70 and enjoy it very much.  2.5 pass shave and we will see how long the BBS lasts but I can say this - it is more efficient than the Karve Overlander by a good bit yet quite gentle, similar to how I remember the Overlander.  

In fact - I used my highest strength alcohol splash after and no burn.  

This will make for a good “my skin needs a break from aggressive razors” and there are times when I just want and need a mild shave - bingo!

Sometimes I need to reel myself back in and here is one that will be a keeper.

Calm_Shaver  you are right about the satin finish, I don’t think I’ve seen one this bright and uniform.  It is the best Satin finish I have seen.

Hey Mike, happy to hear the Titanium Ghost is working out for you and it will be a keeper in your den.  Yaqi did an incredible job on the Satin finish, it has great glide with no drag whatsoever. I found it more efficient than the Overlander with similar smoothness as well.

Flipping: Is it legal? Yes. Is it Ethical? No, if one wants to be a respected member of a community. 

A "no flipping" rule would be too hard for mods to enforce. Better to call out the offending flipper in some way. It is hard, if not impossible, to shame the shameless, but at least put others on alert that the item is a flip.

I'm curious.  How do you define flipping, and what makes it unethical?  If I buy something here and find it doesn't suit me (for whatever reason), is it unethical for me to resell it at a profit?  What if I buy something at a garage sale for a few dollars that I turn around and resell for a few hundred dollars, is that unethical?  How about in real estate and commodities trading?  

I recently bought 2 shaving brushes; one from eBay and one from Reddit.  They didn't suit me and I resold them here, for a $10 profit.  Is that flipping, and am I unethical?  Shameless?  Pfui!  If you want to be an ethics docent, please find a better format for your exposition.  Toodles.

The context for my comment is the question asked in Dave's video. I never intended to act as a docent; I was only answering a question asked in the video. I offer my sincere apologies for a reply far afield from the original subject of this thread.

To answer your questions, I am describing "ethical" in a limited way, only in regard to the gentlemanly ethos loosely found in DFS community standards. The kind of flipping you describe is perfectly within the bounds of DFS community standards. Pricing in order to include fees and shipping is quite fair and acceptable. Generosity is always nice, but can never be demanded. Yes, a modified price to cover a sale is all good among friends. That is the difference: would I gouge someone I consider a friend?

At the other extreme is a type of member whose only participation in the broader community is to buy low on DFS BST and immediately flip on the same forum for a greatly exaggerated price. Legal? Yes. Is that how friends treat friends? Not in my playbook. I am here for the community (and I really enjoy your insightful posts draebeard ). If someone gets a great deal here, there is nothing to prevent a profitable flip. However, it seems distasteful to exploit the seller's generosity by selling it here. There are plenty of other venues for sales.
