I almost bought Creed's GIT shave soap last year but couldn't get past the lightweight cheap looking bowl it comes in, so I bought the aftershave balm instead.

It's really too bad for the price, they couldn't just toss it in a nicer wooden bowl or something.

Honestly, not at the moment grim. It's not one that I can sample so it's a fairly big risk, especially since the consensus seems to place this as a mediocre soap. I haven't read a single review that places Creed soaps high above average in performance. Most folks I've talked to about them express disappointment.

Hehe . I try to avoid having a huge rotation and refuse to keep around anything that is less than stellar. My goal is to end up with under a dozen of the top soaps/creams on the market.

As you might tell from my questions "elsewhere", I had been seeking the same thing. I started with the concept of FIVE. Yeah, that's not going to happen. But I am one by one going through everything I can. I suspect the final answer will be around 15 individually scented creams/soaps.
I feel somewhat guilty giving away the stuff that doesn't make the cut. Even with samples, if its not worthy, lately I have been tossing them but there is that bit of "frugality" in that I feel guilty throwing money away. But in the big scheme of life, its pennies. I understand the point on the $115 creed. I wouldn't buy it either.
In the end, we will need to compare notes to see how much overlap there is in our analysis. I can tell you right now, SMN isn't going anywhere. It's staying and is on the list.

I'm guessing I'll end up with less than 15, but I have a feeling we'll have a lot of overlap in our rotations lol .
I also end up giving away a lot of products. I've PIF'd many samples and full sized products. Even if I enjoy a soap and want to add it to my rotation, I'll PIF the sample and will buy the full size puck. Sampling is essential when you are in the process of trying dozens of products. Also, I have to avoid blind buys on products that don't have a good reputation. Giving away samples is one thing, but doing a PIF of a full puck of Creed is a bit much .
I bet that the rank that SMN gets on my own list won't be any surprise to you.
