I really like the direction your package designs are going. The labels for Night Music and Roam are both very cool, IMO. I think it would be a good idea if you redid the rest of the white label stuff in the same style. Or are the new designs reserved for LEs?

Actually, we're stripping down the entire line and developing something new. It's been months in the making, but it's now nearly finished. Cologne Russe will be the first soap to showcase the new scheme. Smile

I like how you listed the ingredients on the back side of the label with Night Music.

Am I the only one who likes the tasteful simplicity of the white label?  I mean, come on, a bucking bronco on a shaving soap?  Really?  Is the Roam label nice?  Yes, it is.  Is it classy.  Um, nope, not for me.  Will I stop buying Barrister & Mann because of its label?  Heck no!  The soap itself is, indeed, a class act and, ultimately, it's the soap I shave with, not the packaging. It was designed as part of a contest and chosen by Wet_Shavers. Smile I didn't create that one.

However, sneak preview for those interested (link is good for one hour): http://cl.ly/fc39

Will, those are some stunning designs! Extremely well done! Out of curiosity, where is your logo going to be placed?

The logo, soap name, and other various information will be on the side of the jar (not pictured, obviously), while the ingredients, bar code, and manufacturer info will be on the bottom. And I'm glad you like them, celestino!

You're quite welcome Barrister_N_Mann Smile. I enjoy your soaps very much. Glissant in particular is a fantastic product (as I mentioned, currently the top of the artisan soaps for me) and represents the incredible advancements that an artisan can make when open to critique.

I have to say I'm with Freddy on the white label. The simplicity of the white label soaps are preferable to the other labels, though I do acknowledge the fantastic graphic design behind the logos of products like Night Music (that heart thing is awesome). I'm hoping that the new design incorporates the simplicity of the white label but with a more modern edge!

On that note, I'd love to see a B&M product targeting the luxury class of product at some point in the future. Perhaps with a special bowl in ceramic/metal/stone (modern design of course), sparing no expense on the fragrance ingredients (which are already great) and with extras in the soap base that might otherwise be cost prohibitive. Or you can just make a special edition Vetyver Santal in Glissant Big Grin. *wink wink* *nudge nudge* Tongue.

EDIT: Whoa just checked the link... GORGEOUS! Exactly what I was hoping for.

Hey now! I think some some of the recent label designs (Lavanille and Night Music come to mind) are very good (and as a designer I'll say that with my nose up!).

Oh and NeoXerxes the heart thing is a heart AND a strawberry. Which I didn't see right away. But I think it's all rather clever and great. :-)

Thank you for the update and you did a great job highlighting the simplicity. I wish you continued success. Shy
