I'll probably get another titanium Vector.
I'm wondering how the stainless steel OC would work out on a titanium,' guessing it would be all right?

I'd imagine it would be a pretty good balance. A little more heft than the full Ti version.

Tugging while using the Vector usually means that there isn't enough pressure on the razor to force it through that growth. Having this on the first pass makes sense because there is more growth to tug than there is on the second pass. Could also be blades breaking in, but if it's not a new blade then I recommend adding some pressure on that first pass to eliminate the tugging sensation.

Hi folks
Can anyone who has tried or indeed has both weigh in on the difference between the SS and Ti vector
I used the stainless vector now for about 90% of my shaves, my Pils and blackbird getting the rest, but I was considering the titanium when it is available again if there is a noticeably different (smoother + increased efficiency) shave provided

Cheers

Yep pretty much got to add pressure or the razor's not going through the hair, pain or not.

I recommend checking out this blog post we made about the benefits of titanium. It's worth noting that this article is primarily geared toward the Blackbird rather than the Vector. That's because the difference between SS and Ti is largest for the Blackbird since it's heavier and has more blade exposure. Going from stainless to titanium is transformational in the Blackbird for those reasons. These benefits are still certainly felt with the Vector, but the difference is more nuanced since the Vector has less weight to cut. Like the Blackbird Titanium, I consider the Vector Titanium to be the best version of the Vector, but it's a closer race than it is for the Blackbird. So if you have the cash and the curiosity, I think you'd absolutely love the Vector Titanium. Just expect it to be a small step up in comfort and smoothness rather than a huge leap.

This was the article that sent me looking for the Ti Vector, as I had the SS version and found it too much for me! So glad I took the chance because now the Ti Vector rules and my other AC-style razors have been moved to homes where they will be used more than here. I am even thinking of trying the 'bird again, as it was way too much for me in SS, but given what happened with the Vector in titanium, and what Shane has said, I am starting to think about it!

Too funny, and possibly too true! But I have to bide my time, as the house needs a new boiler and I have been gob smacked at the estimate!

Don't think it was any more efficient but for me but it was smoother for sure. Too light personally but I found it easier to to control the pressure compared to the steel. Regardless, I moved on both and have no regrets. Much prefer the Sabre to be honest. Both were polished by the way.

Also I prefer the brassbird over the ti-bird.
