IMHO, we are living the the "golden age" of mens wet shaving products...due to the many options available (hardware & software) when compared to any other time in history.

I have no doubt that 3D printing for prototyping and CNC for production manufacturing must contribute to the proliferation of hardware innovations (for good or ill).
I wonder if it isn't more like the Cambrian Explosion of animal species.
