Wait, am I understanding this correctly? You have enough different GIT-inspired soaps for a month’s worth of shaves, but you’ve never actually owned GIT?

That is correct. I've smelled a decant, but never actually owned the real thing. Too rich for my blood. As far as soaps, there's no way I'm spending $125 (over $32 / oz) for a soap. As for the cologne, I'm happy with the dupes. I actually find a few of my favorites just as pleasing as the real thing.

The Tweeds of March shave 5 was not the best shave soap I've tried.  Lather was airy and bubbly, no matter how much soap I tried to load.  It felt like trying to shave with dish washing detergent.  It was a little better when I took the brush out of the equation and hand lathered.  Good thing I have about 20 other GIT soaps to choose from.  This does make a great bath soap, though.  Left my skin feeling nice and soft.

Crann Bethadh is an hommage to GIT and [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]L'Aventure Knight is advertised as a clone.  I like both products a lot, but I've never had the real GIT, so I can't compare them to it.  [/font]Thanks for starting this thread Garrett, and FYI I referenced this thread in my SOTD post.

M&M is a great soap base with oodles of good slickness and moisturizers. I only have one, and it's a summer favorite (Naid, which was made for autism awareness). Good folks over there, too!

The Tweeds of March shave 6 was much better.  Mystic water always performs great.  I just wish the scent were stronger.

The Tweeds of March shave 7, unfortunately, went a lot like number 5.  I'm starting to sense a pattern with these boutique shaving soaps...
