I use both. I've been traditional wet shaving for just over 2 years now. I used mostly injectors and SE's for most of the past year. I, too, have been on a bit of a DE kick lately. I use mostly vintage razors, but have picked up some of the latest releases of....well....everything!

I honestly enjoy something about just about all of them. I love variety.
Variety is a big reason I use both too. Though, if I'm looking to get an easy, simple BBS shave, I always reach for an SE razor

I enjoy both the DE and SE, especially since I've dialed in on the injector razors.  I can get great shaves with either now but if I'm in a hurry and just need to do a quick two-pass shave...I'm absolutely reaching for an injector.

I use both as well. Slightly different technique, different lathering and prepping. I've been DE shaving for decades, so it's a no brainer for me. I have to be a bit more careful with the Feather AC type SEs. Injectors are a joy and constantly amaze me with the shaves and ease of use.

Sometimes, like yesterday, I'll use a DE razor for the main shave and an injector for touch ups. OR an SE like the Cobra for the main shave and then touchups with a mild DE razor like the Feather Stainless or a British Gillette Rocket.

I find the General easier going than the Hawk, but I think it benefits from a very sharp blade like the Super. The Dorco blade performed adequately until it got to rough stuff, the Pro equipped Hawk had to be brought in for ninth inning relief to clean up the crown stubble which the General/Dorco struggled with.

Your the first I've seen using Doroc AC blades. I'm glad they worked okay for you

The trusty clog pruf always performs how I need it to. Sliced off 4 days of growth in 2 easy passes that gave a BBS. Have a great day everyone.

Posting Freak
Well, I finally tried the Gem Featherweight that whiteboy_cannon was kind enough to send me a couple of months ago. I'd mentioned that the reason for the delay in using it was that I'd had shoulder surgery at the beginning of November and was 5 weeks in a sling and I'm following a staged rehab - believe me, after 5 weeks in a sling plus pain you can't lift your arm to pick your nose let alone shave but now at week 9 post surgery I can although getting around the far side is still a bit challenging. Enough of my whining, I lathered up with some B&M Leviathan and went at it. I had watched several youtube videos and proper use of the Gem. I'll have to say, the angle comes pretty quick and it does remove those whiskers efficiently. I did give myself a couple of nicks down low on my neck, good bit of blood too but I'm on blood thinners so that might have added to the affect. I'm going to persevere, however and will try the Gem again probably at he end of the month when I get to go off the blood thinners. I know that once I get the hang of it I won't nicking myself - I think I must have had some kind of bump on my neck but its gone now. Either that or as I got down low on my neck I kept the blade against my skin as the angle changed (got even shallower) at the bottom of the neck and that did it. May be lift away before I get that low, its not like theres any whiskers down there anyway. Its kind of fun to be a novice again with a different style of razor.
Thanks,
Marko

Your honest evaluations, Mark, are always so very appreciated.  Thanks for your insight. Smile

As for me, the Featherweight is one of my favorite SEs, by far. Happy2

I haven't been around the forums much lately. Is anyone else besides OneBlade close to making a modern SE? Preferably one that takes the GEM blades unmodified?
