Very interesting! I will be looking further into that product and process. Back when I first started using a brush, I recall people posting about cleaning their brushes with dish soap to remove built up shaving soap. I did occasionally, but then decided what was the point, as my brushes never seemed bad. But maybe harder water causes some soap scum to form on the bristles? But cleaning up a used brush, now that I hadn't thought about, as I haven't purchased a used brush yet.

I caught that video too, makes me wonder how clean is brush. 
I should have weighed it when it was first new, would there be a difference, maybe or not.

I know Matt at Razor Emporium advocates that dishwashing detergent and warm water should be good enough, but the vinegar and borax just give a little extra peace of mind.
