I agree, it's pretty spot on.

Phew, I'm not a fan of smelly gym bag scent. If it is truly Tabac base (I'm skeptical at this point, it's just my nature), but better scents, I will be impressed and likely add a couple.

I have a couple IM sticks I use on special occasions or when camping, it's a great soap base.

I personally am a fan of Tabac and really love its performance. I will be giving Fine's Classic a go round tomorrow and see if I get similar lather and results. My favorite part of Tabac is the post shave feel.

I think Tabac has an edge on post shave feel.

If that's the case, it is not the same base. But likely just similar ingredients.

It seems these days, all the top soaps are similar in all categories and we tend to split hairs in terms of which is better in any given category ....which isn't a bad thing.

During the shave it is really slick, but the post shave not as much, a little on the dry side. Still a very good soap for the price.

Agreed, I don't think Todd ever claimed that M&W (the makers of Tabac and IM) was the maker of his soap, but he did say that he felt he had discovered their soap base. Identical properties are unlikely but it's probably close enough for government work

They are made in different countries so they probably aren't identical, but I don't think Todd ever claimed they were.

It's pretty dang good.

The scent in mine had really mellowed out.
Wish it hadn't.

Still there, but after the fourth shave it's not as robust as the first two trips around the block were.

I'm happy with it. Performance is good with my hard water. Doesn't smell like Tabac. Fits in an Old Spice mug and with my red frosting lid it's a match made in heaven.

Priced reasonably and more scents on the way.

As of 10:25am 4/16/16 we've only one puck left folks, this fella went fast for sure. Todd at Fine says it'll likely be about a month until his next shipment arrives.
