The Bic Chrome Platinum is almost as sharp as the Feather fresh from the wrapper, and easily sharper after 1 shave. I haven’t tried it in a slant yet though - it might be a little too sharp for that.

The BIC is one of my go-to blades. When I'm in SE Asia I'll pick up another 100 ($10). My only complaint is that QC is not 100 percent, I do occasionally get a blade I have to instantly toss.

Astra SP, with honorable mention to Personna Israeli Reds and Voskhod. These three blades seem to work best in all of the DE razors in my collection. I have other blades that are just as good, but only work well in one razor and not well in other razors. IMHO you need to match specific blades to a razor, since the design and function are different for each razor model.

Polsilver Super Iridium for me, have been using other brands to try for a while and just used the Polsilver in my last shave, I forgot how smooth and sharp these blades were.
Is there really a difference between the Iridium Super and the Polsilver Super Iridium from Russia besides the packaging?

If there is I would love to try the Iridium Super if I can find one.

I hate to say this as Iridium Super blades are difficult to find, but yes. I found Iridium Super and Polsilver Super Iridium to have different characteristics. I found Iridium Super to be much smoother than the later.

Looks like I'm going to have some blade hunting to do, I found the Polsilver Super Iridium really smooth and if the Iridium Super are even smoother I've got to try these blades, if anyone knows where I can find some I would really appreciate it.
The other blades that I really like as well are also no longer being made, ie. Schick plus platinum, Gillette Platinum Plus NOS and the Wilkinson Sword light brigades.
I've got the Wizamet Polsilver Stainless blades from Poland and I like them as well but I found the Schick plus platinum better.

It seems like the blades from before were better made. The Polsilver Super Iridium I'm currently using were the one's I got a few years ago. I just purchased 100 pack, I hope the quality hasn't suffered.

They are indeed the exact same blade as countless SxS tests on various forums have concluded as well as a former poster on another forum who was surely a Gillette"insider" due to the wealth of info he dispersed despite many naysayers refusing to believe the objective nuggets he left.

I saw this add for razor blades today and was somewhat amazed.

Dorco USA is the exclusive U.S. and Canada distributor of Dorco shaving products.
All Dorco 3, 4, 6 and 7 blade cartridges fit Dorco's 3, 4, 6 and 7 blade system handles.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
3, 4, SIX and SEVEN blade cartridges.
I have been out of commision for a couple of weeks. I can't believe this was allowed to happen!

When might it reach 10 -15 or more?????

Just think. Hydrogen assisted razors to prevent arm injuries.

I'm afraid I have to change mine. After sitting in the top spot for quite awhile I am going to have to bump down my beloved Pol Silver Super Iridiums to second place behind my new favorite Perma Sharp Super. I also am a big fan of Gillette Silver Blue and the Nacet blades

A vote as well for the simply superb made in Brazil NOS Gillette Platinum Plus blades that were on the market for not quite a year from 2016 -2017. SxS tests by myself as well as others with the vintage version from the 70's lead one to believe they were/are the exact same blade. I can get seven perfect shaves every time if pushed. I have used a mere few blades that were equal, but none better. Wink
