The next Rocnel Sailor Adjustable.... Beefy!

I’m waiting for the titanium model, but understand, from Rocnel, that they are starting production of the Ti model when the pandemic is over. This could be a long wait.

The problem is that titanium is extremely difficult to get in Turkey. I have spoken to Murat about this several times as LOOT and I have been asking him to do a Sailor in titanium for a couple years now. I also know that Phil at Bullgoose has been asking as well and he has told us several times that titanium is almost nonexistent in Turkey. We were all surprised when he announced that he would be making one next year so he must have found a source to get him some titanium rods. We’ll see but I am looking forward to seeing how much the upcharge will be even though he made a comment about them being around the same price as stainless steel. All we can do is sit back and wait now that he is almost done with the new stainless 2021.

My correspondence with Murat was today. I responded to him that this pandemic still has a long way to go, which it does as billions of poor and lower income people from around the world have yet to be vaccinated. Until they are we will still be dealing with COVID-19 and its variants.

Just paid for mine. Can’t wait to see how different it shaves and feels compared to the 2019 I tried.

Phil messaged me a few minutes ago to thank me and mentioned it may be a week or so before they arrive.

The difference is big, I have the 2021 gold but the shave is the same as the other 2021 model. Has become one of my all time favourites (and I have or tried most of the top razors)

The model you have is the 2020 that Murat continued recently at the beginning of 2021. This new one coming is the 2021 Slim. He hasn’t done any of these new ones with a gold ring or with the gold inlay at the bottom. Right now, there are only 3 prototypes of this model in the wind and then the shipment of 12 coming to Phil at Bullgoose.

You're right, it's the  2020 model, my mistake (was in a hurry  when  I replied and because I bought it in 2021 I made a typo   )

No prob man. Phil actually has about 20
coming but he pre-sold 12 of those and he will probably sell the last 8 the minute they hit.

Yes, there will be 100 total. They are the lighter 2021 model. They will likely trickle in 20 or so at a time.

As to 100, I wouldn't hold terribly fast to that number. I bought into Phil's 100 on the one of the prior models, then serials over 100 started showing up. I think Phil's contract may be 100 but I'm not certain the agreement limits Murat's production too 100. So, limited to Phil and limited to Murat may not be the same. I could be terribly wrong but I am pretty sure I asked this specific question on Nook and this was the impression I was left with. It has been a while tho...Ive since slept...and I tried not to dwell on it for imparting negative juju in my den.

VERY TRUE JAMES, BUT ... at least we now have a 'Possible Direction'. I always am a skeptic and am also very aware of 'Salesmanship", no matter WHO is doing the selling !
