I asked him for Titanium one in Turkish forum 10 days ago.
He replied "it could be in titanium, but the quality of work will drop and the production cost will be increased unnecessarily".

175 grams is really heavy.. Next model hope not gonna go to 200 grams.

This is the next model.  The first 4 are the prototypes for the future production models.  Those 4 sold quickly for high dollar amounts.  I really want the production model in titanium.  I would pay for it if I have it by then.

I was talking after this one (after 2021 version), since the weight is going up. Did he sell them more than retail price?

Weight doesn't bother me, at all. In fact, most times I prefer it as gravity helps a lot with cutting. The razor provides its own pressure to make the blade cut. With lighter razors, you've got to add that pressure with your hand. The 2019 model is 145g which really isn't bad, to me. I can put together a 140g WR2. The prototype is heavier at 175g. I can live with either, given that either razor can cover all of my WR1s and WR2s with headroom to spare. I'm just glad the new model relieved a lot of blade feel and kicked up the smoothness substantially in the upper gap range.

The 4 prototypes sold for substantially more than the $450ish MSRP of the 2019 model. I struggled with the cost but the gamble seems to have paid off. It's a great shaver. I'm 22 hours post shave and I still have a DFS. Kinda hard to argue with those results...and I get a little bicep work in the process.

Second shave with a fresh Feather set on 3, or 50%. Same opinion on smoothness and blade feel. Great shave on 33 hours growth. Like the 2019, I think it has all WR2 heads covered in efficiency at this setting. I'll run the two Sailors at some point but I dont think the prototype loses much, if any, efficiency to the 2019....which seems counterintuitive given the improved metrics. Time will tell.

Here are a couple of pics with a blade loaded so you can judge how wide it is. It's got quite an impressive wingspan. That may be an understatement.

I am loving these reviews and you are making me salivate over this thing! Starting to regret passing on spending some serious cash to obtain one. No response on the titanium question yet. He did respond when I asked recently about the progress on a stand for the 2019 Sailor. He said that now he has suspended all production. That was shortly after he started selling the 4 new Sailors.

Enjoying your excellent reviews and great pic’s James. Impressive that he could keep the efficiency of the 19 and make it smoother. Look forward to further write ups and pics.

Honestly, I kinda cringe posting about a razor you cant get yet...or maybe never. But by doing so, I'm hoping enough guys contact him that he goes into a limited production run on thos Sailor. I would probably buy another one....especially in he took the Zaratsu to a full mirror.

I hope any suspension is not permanent. That guy is wickedly talent. He thinks a little differently.
