The slants are back in stock as of right now. Just a heads up!
TheHolyBlack just released their newest soap! Bay Whiskey Lime is such a nice scent and I'm really looking forward to trying the new formula. There's only 100 tubs made on this run so if you want it you better get in there and buy it before its gone. Thanks Stefan!

Hi Kevin, yes the enabler enabling the enabler!! I can't comment on the performance of the new formula yet because I haven't recieved it yet, however, I feel pretty confident that Stefan wouldn't release a dud. The Holy Black's original formula shaving soap is a great performer and it is glycerine based. You're probably aware that there are plenty of folks who eschew the glycerine based soaps notwithstanding that they can be excellent performers when done right - which The Holy Black has done. I'm not sure if the genesis for this new formula was Stefan getting tired of defending his glycerine soap but I'm looking forward to trying it. You'll probably have it before me so let me know what you think.
On scent, I have the Bay Whiskey Lime in (original) soap and aftershave toner and I really like it. There hasn't been any scent but Gunpowder Spice available at The Holy Black for a little while now. Its a great scent (riff on old spice I think) and I'm assuming it has to be THB's best seller. I also have soaps, aftershaves and a couple of balms in Sandalwood Smoke and Mountain Man in addition to Bay Whiskey Lime and Gunpowder Spice and they're all great. Favourites for me would be between Bay Whiskey Lime and Sandalwood Smoke.
Marko What's the staying power like on their aftershave? 25.00 for 8 ounces is in line with what many other vendors sell their offerings for in the 4 OZ variety from 10-15 a bottle so price seems right on this. However, if the staying power is minimal it wouldn't be for me. If it ranks with PAA line and Oglala's line however, it would be. Thanks,

I have been wanting to try some of the HB product for some while.(03-28-2016, 04:00 PM)kwsher Wrote:(03-25-2016, 02:53 AM)Marko Wrote: TheHolyBlack just released their newest soap! The marketing really resonates with me and I like the other cool stuff Stefan is doing with the hand casting, etc. too.

steeleshaves , THB aftershave has good staying power, I have both PAA and Ogallala aftershaves and I think THB compares favorably with their staying power. Really nice scent and reasonable conditioning face feel. More than Ogallala but not as much as Chatillon Lux imo.
