Shaved 4 days growth last night with a Schick Proline blade on 4th use. It was heaven. Easily cleared most growth on the first pass then glided along on passes two and three to clean up any remaining stubble.
My only grudge is the shaves don’t last as long as with the Feather Pro, but damnnnnn are they smooth!

I've had 2 shaves with the general V2 I purchased after I had some issues getting blades for it. I ended up with some Feather Pro Guard blades to start with. It has been an excellent shaver. I started with a Rockwell 6S and moved to a Razorock Game Changer .68. I've had some issues with post shave irritation with both of those DE's using Rockwell, Feather, Astra and Super Iridium blades plus a few others I can't remember. First 2 shaves with The General and 0 post shave irritation. A great 2 pass shave. Looking forward to my sampler pack of blades to arrive so I can try some others. I'll probably keep the DE's around for awhile to play with but wouldn't be surprised if I sell them in the future. Take all of this with a grain of salt as I am fairly new at wet shaving and still perfecting a shave technique and routine.
Hi - what is the comparison in shave with the V1 aluminum vs the V2. I have the V1 aluminum and it gives a decent shave with a proline blade. Still feel some tugging, not the smoothest shave. I had the Paradigm SE at one point; the shave was very very smooth but I felt it was too mild. For $400 the razor had better be great in every way, it was not so I got rid of it.
Finished up the shaves with the Schick Proline. Popped a Kai Pink (also called mild?) and while the first shave with the blade was just ok, today’s shave was better.
A three pass affair and quite smooth. I’m thinking the efficiency might be better than the Schick, but time will tell. Perhaps these will be a good middle ground between the efficiency of the Feather and the smoothness of the Schick.
