Both brothers, Kyle and Kirk Evans (owners), liked the comment about the original handle shape.
So I'm waiting for a Colonial Razors The General V2, made in aluminium alloy 7075, with the original shape as mine V1 in black above.
Unfortunatelly the DFS member Colonial Razors is not active in here.
I'd like just to know what, if, when, the test is going on ...
Unfortunately I think you may be waiting for something that won't be made. From what I remember the brothers decided to scrap the aluminum all together when they changed their mind to go ahead with the SS V2 as the interest was for SS only. Most posts I've seen favored the weight of SS and thought aluminum was just too light. I personally would agree with that as I much preferred my V1 SS over the aluminum and the shave difference was very noticeable.

Unfortunatelly (for me) You're right.
I hope people like me (light one lovers), will ask on the linked FB page to ask the miracle.

Got the resin tortoise handle. Fantastic shave today. Used a Proline. Will experiment with a sharper blade; but it is really a good shave.

That is stunning! The proline works wonders for me. Some of the best shaves in the General V2, especially around shave 4 I find.

I’ve recently rediscovered my V1 General in stainless. I’m pleased I found it in my razor stash, as I now find it to be the top of the heap among the AC blade razors I use or have used, including the Vector, Asylum RX, ATT SE2 (though this one is close), Ikon MR SE, Mongoose, Alumigoose. On my face, its analog among DE razors is the Timeless bronze .78 open comb—built like a tank, operates like a hummer—with little blade-forwardness but incredible efficiency.

Shaved with the General and a fresh Schick blade for the first time in a while. Some newer DEs have kept me busy, but damn, this combo is hard to beat.

Now you need just a camera to make your own pictures.

Used this razor this morning with a second use Schick. I haven’t shaved with an SE in about a month as I’ve toyed with different DEs, but the quality of the shave just seems to be slightly better. Those artist club blades sure are something.

IMHO, people with real skin issues can feel a big difference.
Modern SEs with guarded AC blades are my quality standard.
My fav combo (General V1 Aluminium / Kai ProTouch) wins hands down on each DE I've tried.

... I'm still dreaming the General V2 as yours, but from Aluminium 7075.

I use Schick Prolines in my General V2. A no hassle close comfortable shave every time! So glad to see you loving your General V2, AQU.
