The ENOCH razor by Occam's Razor

Curious to know why the Enoch is still available for the discounted cost of $100, but the Hiram got a 200% increase.
I kind of feel like I let mine go prematurely.

I wondered the same thing until I realized the Hiram was gold plated!! You can't select the SS option anymore.

Ah. That makes sense. 
Hopefully the SS will come available again with that same door crasher price tag.

... and hopefully with the QC issues having been sorted out.

The Enoch had been tucked away for a bit and this morning I brought it out from it’s temporary hibernation status for today’s whisker whacking duties. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This razor shaves with the best of them. Regardless of price point and alloy make up. The shave is uber efficient yet uncannily smooth especially paired with a Schick Proline. The results of the shave today was as I expected it to be, excellent.  Just 2.5 passes of pure shaving bliss.  Despite its early q/c issues and some inherent minor manufacturing flaws, which I hope have been worked out with subsequent production runs, this razor from a performance/price ratio stand point is head shoulders above many in the SE field and quite a few in the DE world as well. 

Would I recommend it? Absolutely and I couldn’t do it fast enough. If the earlier issues have been worked out by Classic Shaving, the $99 price point is a bargain for an elite level shave performer that goes toe to toe with ANYTHING you put it up against. I personally consider it to be that good. Again, not every razor is for everyone and ymmv is the standard issue protocol in evaluating any razor. But, if you enjoy an AC style SE razor shave or want to get your feet wet in the AC SE shave world, take a long hard look at the Enoch. It’s a player.....

To this day I'm fully kicking myself for, prematurely letting go of my Hiram commander. It was extremely mild for my taste with the blades that I had at the time (prolines/feather pro) but then I realized I should've tried it with the pro supers. 

I've been trying to reach out to classic shaving via email, Facebook and PM via this forum, to see if they happen to have any lingering around. Not a single response in months though. 

I'm hoping that they'll be released once again.

The Hiram is another underrated razor. Excellent with a Pro Super with either a 1 or 2 dot plate. One would rarely need to use the 3 dot unless it’s being used with a guarded or milder AC blade. Stout performer. Good luck in your quest....

Good eye, Shane. Yes, it is a bit wavy/undulating. To me though, it doesn’t affect the shave none. Just a brow frown from me aesthetically.....

How does the enoch compare to the vector?

Definitely more aggressive than the Vector and with noticeably more blade feel.  Of the SE razors I've used I'd rank them in the following order from least aggressive to most:

IB Blackhawk
Vector
ATT SE1
Hiram
Ikon El Jefe
Enoch
Mongoose
King Cobra
Cobra Classic
Asylum RX

I liked the Vector, but found it too mild.  The vector might be a little smoother than the Enoch, but the Enoch delivers a much better shave.  Although the Enoch is considerably more aggressive than the Vector I didn't find myself worried about cutting myself.  However, the last 3 on my list are able to do some damage if not carefully used.  Again, all my opinion as everyones face is different.

Where would you say the Asylum Rx v2 fits in?

I don't know much about Occam's Razor as a company. I emailed them in reference to restocking of the Enoch but haven't heard back after several days. Do they tend to restock their razors or are they discontinued once they sell out?

There are lots of great reviews for the Enoch hence my interest. I have the Claymore Evolution and am quite pleased with it... but I wouldn't mind trying an Enoch.
