I've found my holy Grail of Soap
Plenty have been used and come and gone however La Savonniere Du Moulin has been crowned King in my den

The packaging is unique. Balsa wood. Very rustic however not durable to shave in but lovely none the less. They place a small loofah in the bottom for storing the soap. Really nice.

100g of product. Made from Donkey Milk in France. Smallish puck however managed to get two pucks from Paul so should last a while. Pressed one of them into a small steel bowl and fitted perfectly. The soap is medium to hard but not as hard as say a triple milled Truefitt & hill or Saponoficio Varesino so can be moulded by hand with a little pressure

I usually like strong scented soaps and the scent strength in this is about 4 or 5/10 so not strong but the scent is wonderful. Definitely a cologne smell. Fresh and the scent remains whilst lathering.

Could not fault the lather. Easy to produce. A thirsty soap- needs plenty water but has a big sweet spot. Cushion and glide was excellent and the post shave amazing.

The old adage YMMV has to be said however for me this was a winner
