This is a definitely a unique method of honing! Amazingly enough it's super easy and produced the smoothest and sharpest edges I have come across. I have tried it on 5 razors. But my stones are 1k King, 3k, 5k, 8K and 12k Naniwa.

I'm not sure I understand what parts of his method you are using. is it the micro bevel on the finisher with the scotch tape?

Everything Smile I like how he only used two stones. It was new to me to do strokes repeatedly one side at a time, and the scotch tape.

What does the scotch tape do? I didn't quite understand that part. Keep in mind I've never even held a straight razor much less shaved with one. I'm just asking out of curiosity. Smile
