Ethos soap

Omega or Zenith boar brush

Nacet blades

My total is 90 dollars.

I agree on the Ethos vs a Cella etc..

I believe he agrees that spending the money on skin care is better than the hardware.

Other than Ethos there are dozens of soaps I would reach for before Cella starting at Proraso.

That's right about right, a nice protective soap is a wiser choice.

Not sure how Proraso is more protective than Cella

Only to a degree. For me, even the best technique will not help me get a great shave with a Voskhod blade.

But how did you reach such conclusion without trying Cella and Proraso first ...?
Wetshaving is a gradual journey, can't skip NCAA if you want to play NBA.

An old post but will explain a lot and due to my skin I’ve tried a lot of soaps and cremes.

Sure dtownvino, I wasn't referring at you you, more to the hypothetical (real?) guy which OP is trying to convert.
Thx for the link, interesting read!

Thanks for the link. Now I understand why Cella would be one of the last soaps you reach for. The almond oil can be very irritating to people who are sensitive to it. Like you, I have a tough, dense, curly Italian beard, and my skin is oily. Unlike you, I don't have any current dermatological issues so Cella works great for me and balms, etc. are way too oily/greasy for my comfort. I am learning a lot from this thread.
