Looking at these two Razors. Which is the most smoothest and most efficient.

Subscribed. I've not used either, so I'm curious what others think too.

I tried both; Tatara SB was on loan from a friend and Rocca is still with me - for now (I listed it in the BST). These two are very different razors, the Tatara is very comfortable but I struggled with getting the results I wanted. It's a mild daily razor, comparable to Rockwell 2/3 or Merkur 34C. I have not tried the OC version.

The Rocca is quite more aggressive, most people report it somewhere in between the DE89 and R41, which is a pretty wide spectrum tbh. I would compare it to a Rockwell on 5 with perhaps more blade feel. It can also be used daily, but not as carefree as the Tatara. The efficiency is very impressive though.

Build quality is better on the Tatara and that's understandable considering the price. Rocca is not far behind though, but in a different way - it has that industrial feel similar to Rockwell or Rex Ambassador which I personally like. Tatara handle is good, but to me the Rocca offers a more unique and cooler looking handle.

Both are very good options, if you like mild razors and are ready to pay for the beutiful finish, Tatara is a good choice. If you like an efficient razor and money in your pocket, Rocca is a better option.

Hope that helps.

My experience with the Tatara OC is that while still relatively mild it is very efficient. Being a more rigid design it will work better for some than the the Rocca, as the Tatara worked great for me ATG on my head where the Muhle designs don't work that well.

I didn't like the Rocca at all.  To me it was rough on the face, without giving me a clean shave.  The handle was good looking, but too large and heavy.
I had it for a month, tried many different blades, but never learned to like it.  I used to like aggressive razors, but as I've gotten older my skin has gotten
thinner, my beard has gotten tougher, and my tastes have changed.  I sold my Mühle Rocca after a month, without regret, and wont buy another.

I've had the Tatara (both baseplates) on loan for less than a week, and have shaved with it twice (with a Feather blade); once with 4 days growth.
I've gotten close and comfortable shaves both times.  The SB is just as comfortable as a Feather AS-D2 or a Gillette Tech, but gives a closer shave.
The OC is slightly more aggressive; has a bit more blade feel, but still gives a very comfortable shave.  I think the handle is ugly, but it's comfortable.
It is not interchangeable however, so you cannot use another handle.  Even so, I like it better than my Feather, and would keep it if I could.

All that commentary aside, I definitely prefer the Tatara Masamune over the Mühle Rocca.

I heard there’s a Tatara up for grabs in the B/S/T here
