On the site now in various colourations. It locks the blade in keeping with their design brief and fits both Masamune and Nodachi seamlessly or ordered as option if buying a razor new

Where do you see the new handle(s) on their site? I can't seem to find it, for some reason.   Shy

Order Mini Handle

Press release:
Some time ago we used our TATARA Instagram to understand which handle sizes our customers would be more interested in.

As a result, we discovered that many customers prefer smaller handles, with a length of 75 mm/ 2.95 in.

For that reason, we decided to manufacture a limited number of Mini Handles for our Matte and Dark Masamune and Nodachi Razors!

Our handles are made to be used in both the Masamune and Nodachi razor.

Special characteristics:
Mini Handles Total Length: 75mm / 2.95 in
Masamune Mini Handle Weight: 50 grams
Masamune Mini Handle Diameter: 11 mm / 0.43 in
Nodachi Mini Handle Weight: 60 grams
Nodachi Mini Handle Diameter: 13 mm / 0.51 in
PRE-ORDER NOW

Matte Mini Handle = €49 Dark Mini Handle =€55

This is awesome news! Thanks for sharing considering getting one although I've never used a handle that short before. Maybe ill wait til i get my weber bulldog to see if it's comfortable. That's awesome they're offering the nodachi handle shorter too. Sounds like it'd be very comfortable.

I used a Weber Bulldog handle on the Nodachi when I did the passaround.  It was a good match weight and length wise for the Nodachi head, but it does not look as nice aesthetically as the Tatara handles.

That's awesome the weber bulldog worked really well for you. I'm getting one with the german 37 slant and was mostly curious about how comfortable it is using a 3" handle as I've never used one before. I have the regular masamune handle and find it very comfortable but wondering if I'd prefer a 3" in size and weight. I agree 100% love the asthetics of the tatara handles they are beautiful. Do you find using a standard handle makes the tolerances not as tight or is it the same experience? Thanks!

What do you guys do just align the cap/blade and tighten up handle of choice?

I haven't used the masamune head on another handle. I'll try it on my Silversmith handle tho tomorrow and see how it is.

Don’t believe Masamune head will work with a standard handle, at least the original
