Second day.
Man….
Clicked again.
Details hardly matter. But same blade, T+S soap, a different Rudy Vey/Muhle STF brush.
Just a fantastic shave.
Kind of loving this razor.

This has been my experience as well! Even switching blades didn't seem to change the feel while shaving.

From the perspective of a person with extremely sensitive skin, found distinct delta in feel going from SoftGuard to ProGuard and significant delta going from SoftGuard to even a Light let alone a Pro. The unguarded blades were unusable for me.

That is interesting. I have rosacea, but most days my skin is doing fine. However, guarded blades in the Hawk and Vector wreaked havoc on my face! But in the Romulus and the Amakuni, I think the ProTouch has just about got to be my favorite blade.

It is always illuminating how personal are blades - particularly AC.

My experience is blades, even relatively much more similar DE blades compared to AC, elicit the most wildly differing preference amongst shavers.

ProGuards rarely work for me even in the Amakuni. Kai Pink and Protouch were dramatically better. If people are interested I can link to the pass around across the pond. I tested a range of blades and did head-to-head shaves against the likes of the ATT slant, Vector, Wolfman and La Faulx. And the prototype.

The passaround includes 2 cartridges of Kai Salon blades, courtesy of evahs.  We would welcome more cartridges of other blades as participants deem fit.
