I must remember to start a new thread the next time I wait 2 months for a razor coming from a US or Canadian artisan to my home in the EU.

Original delivery estimate was advised as 7-16 business days. My postal carrier got the package
into Portugal in 7 days....then the inefficiency of Portugal Post took over.

2 months may be what YOU are used to, and, frankly, it's a shame how low your expectations are.

Do as you please...everyone has different standards by which they evaluate
situations.

Why not post the update in the original thread as an edit? Now the information is spread out all over the place.

This thread is about the razor, not the return shipping. Otherwise you could have used this thread already the first time.  Huh

It's a continuation of my review of the razor (which includes every facet of the experience),
and should be treated as such.

The information is not spread out all over the place...Post #144 on this thread captures it all succinctly.

If you wish for more detail (and drama), you may follow the link in my siggy.

So has anybody else tried the actual razor out?
I have not tried it because I thought it would probably be to mild of range with the highest setting.
It would be nice other razors incorporate some kind of variable exposure as well as Gap.
I've owned a couple of motorcycles/ATV's that had high and low range, probably not feasible engineering in a razor, but I can imagine.

I have, and it works great - for me.  I shave on "3," and it's plenty efficient for my shave.  As observed in other reviews, 5 is the max and that may not be enough blade for those who like an aggressive shave.  Unlike the Taiga (which I also use and like) and Rocnel, the dial can't be rotated beyond initial settings, so you're limited to the range on the dial.  It's a superbly precision made adjustable, with a unique design, and as robust as the Rex Ambassador for example (with substantially less blade feel).  The razor's limitation, as discussed here and elsewhere, is the range of adjustability.  The 1-2 settings are to me equivalent to the RS-D2, and a 3 for me matches a 2.5 or 3 on the Taiga pretty well - probably Tech equivalent.  Haven't advanced to a 4 or 5, but I would expect them to be correspondingly more efficient, but again, the top limit, whatever it is.  It's a great adjustable, and co-equal as my current favorite with the Taiga, but not for someone who likes an aggressive or super aggressive razor.

Im not sure what they base these claims on. I find the claim below quite inaccurate. And I was actually looking
for something that could operate on the milder side of the spectrum. That description of Setting 5 is quite
misleading, as I discovered once I had it in hand.

It would be interesting to hear from someone who has run this razor on 5 to compare the latter setting to a Wolfman
WR2 0.95mm gap. Something tells me it may be even milder than that one...but I'm happy to be corrected.

That's terrific that it is working out for you it sounds like a good range for you
   It's really a nifty design.

Yeah that's what it says every hair and skin type or whatever they say.        Probably is made " designed"  for  every hair and skin type as long as it's within a certain range, I don't know.
Things like that I kind of read over and realize if you really want to know about it just try it.

The Muramasa on 5 has similar blade exposure to the BB, but almost double the gap. I found the shaves to last longer with the Muramasa, but for my skin prefer to use razors that bend the blade rather than clamp it close to the edge.

The Muramasa on 4 is probably the best setting. Just enough exposure and gap to make quick work of even my thick stubble. For me, a sharp blade (not feathers, as I find them rough) and improving my prep has made my razors much less “tuggy”. YMMV as with everything in life.
