Which titanium razor did you order last March?

Sorry for late response, been working through my notifications as I don't visit the forums as frequently as I used to.

I pre-paid for the H&SCo. Z074-ti.  Sounds like it'll be ready to ship sometime next week, and I am excited to get it as I have been getting by with only my Blackland Vector (other than a couple instances of test-driving a couple friends' razors) for months now.

I have a friend that should be testing one of those next week. I love Aji’s razor’s! I have the first titanium P076 DC and copper P076 DC that came back from his machine shop. Aji’s a great guy and I am getting ready to sell my N075 in anticipation of this new Z074. Only issue I have with it is the zero blade exposure so we shall see. I like to feel the blade a bit.

Ok, I’m impressed with the Tatara Muramasa on setting 5. My shave yesterday was smooth and highly efficient. I mentioned that Tatara should consider an XL version on my IG post yesterday and Tatara responded in a comment under the post that the comment actually has them thinking. I got around 14-16 hours stubble free. That is outstanding! I just want the razor to have a longer and beefier handle and to give me 2-3 more settings going up in gap. Next up is the new titanium Taiga and then back to the Muramasa dialed down to setting 4.

george1906 How would you compare it to the various WR2 gaps, and also to the 2020 Rocnel Sailor?

I would say setting 2 or 3 on the 2020 Sailor S and probably my WR2 1.25 and WR1 .86 most likely. I am going to use it on setting 4 Sunday and then I can make a better comparison.

I haven’t done enough testing (there’s only so much beard I can grow in 24 hours) but I feel like the shave from setting 5 May have been longer lasting than my blackbird, which doesn’t make sense to me. Glad to see there others having impressive results on 5.

I agree, looking at the razor and the gap closely, you would not think it’s THAT efficient but surprisingly, it is. Gap and exposure have always been a confusing animal to me.

I agree with you guys that setting 5 is surprisingly efficient I just wish there was at least a level 6. I kind of like to have an adjustable where I am using as a daily driver and my setting is not maxed out. It does give an extremely smooth shave.

Yep, I would like a setting 6 and 7 with a longer and thicker handle.

Now that I have 2 different shaves in on my Muramasa, I can honestly say that it’s definitely a keeper! I have used setting 4 and 5 and both shaves were super smooth yet highly efficient. This razor is a marvel to me and I really don’t like small razors. The key to me is just how efficient it is at the highest and second highest settings. It also just performs beautifully when it comes to the smoothness of the shave. I own or have owned almost every single modern adjustable on the market and this Tatara is right up there with the best of them. It’s also incredibly easy to maneuver around the face. My last 4 shaves were with my Rocnel 2020 Sailor, the Muramasa, the Taiga titanium and back to the Muramasa. I dare say that I like the Muramasa better than the titanium Taiga right now. The reason for this is because I think I have to get used to the weight difference of the new Taiga. The original was made from stainless steel and every other modern adjustable that I have owned has been made out of stainless. Even though the Muramasa is small, it still has a nice weight to it and it’s perfectly balanced in use. I do a 2.5 pass shave. WTG, ATG and XTG on my cheeks. I can always tell how efficient a razor is if my face feels like glass after those 2.5 passes and by the length of time it takes for stubble growth. I am getting 17-18 hours stubble free with both my shaves with the Tatara which I really did not expect. My mind has been blown with this one! The only thing I would change is the length and width of the handle, the size of the number dial and give me a couple more options as far as going up through the settings. The only thing for me that is a must in the future is the handle length and width. I am fine with it as is right now. I think anyone that purchases this one will be happy with it and the adjustment mechanism is an absolutely amazing design.
