I'm very excited about the upcoming Rainforest release.

I personally prefer a 4 oz T&S soap since I am paying for a tub of soap, shipping and taxes already, I might as well get the extra 1 oz amount of soap for a little higher price.  This is a limited release.  If I love it, I wish to have a larger amount as I might not be able to get a second tub in the future.

T&S is a premium, luxury product.   Be it 3 oz or 4 oz tub of soap, it would not be cheap as we are paying for a top-tier product.  People pay the higher price for the overall quality, scent and performance.

However, I also understand the perspective of those who are content with a 3 oz tub for a lower price.  They have a much larger collection of soaps, are more likely to try out different scents, and will not be finishing a particular soap for a very long time if ever.

Thanks Ryan Smile

Nice! It’s good to see that guys. How is everyone feeling about the 3 oz soaps for a little bit cheaper, rather than the 4 oz?
3oz for me please!!! I think a lot of folks in this hobby collect a lot of soaps and as a result may never finish a 3oz let alone 4oz.

I'm good either way. I'm one of those who has to order internationally, so I get the argument that shipping will be the same and I might as well get a full 4oz. But honestly, I'm gonna buy it either way, so I think I would slightly prefer 3oz to save a few bucks and burn through it 25% faster

I keep about 12 or so sets at any given time and I try to actually use them. I like to use it, load heavily, sell/PIF those sets that don't get used often, and keep my collection a manageable size. More good stuff is being released all the time so I don't see much value in hoarding soap forever. So 3oz tubs would probably be a plus for me.

Ryan, the graphics on Rainforrest Two are exceptional! I've said before that I think Tallow+Steel has the best graphics in the biz as well as a top tier soap base.  You just keep raising the bar  Happy2

All good points! There is no doubt that with shipping prices (assuming one doesn’t live in North America or doesn’t hit the $75 USD free shipping threshold) our products are some of the most expensive, but are also probably the most expensive to produce of any artisan. You’re right that preference probably comes down to how much soap someone has.

For sure! We will announce here, social media, and via our newsletter.

I hear you! Rainforest is 3 oz. Your statement is the exact reason we started doing some releases in 3 oz.

Nice, thanks! Yeah shipping should be the same. You’d only probably notice a difference if ordering multiple sets, where now you’d be saving several oz of weight which could equal cheaper shipping. 12 is a nice manageable size, check out the restraint on this guy!

Thanks Mark! We tried to keep it in the same style as Dark Two.

I'm another euro customer, I prefer the 4oz, and notice already with the Yakushima. But I'm also a minimalist compared to a lot of folks in the shave community.
I'm seriously not planning on buying any other brand of soap after having tried quite a few. T+S is just the perfect balance for me.

I'd almost prefer going the route that fragrance companies do and offering samples. But that's probably not practical.

Whatever you decide is ok by me, but it's weird opening the tub and seeing it that low out of the box. Plus it still takes up the same space in my limited European sized bathroom.

BTW now that I'm using the Yakushima, it's phenomenal. I always find it interesting how the scent and the base interact to create subtle differences. Yakushima is 10 out of 10 level spackle like creaminess. Love it.

Don’t rub it in, man! Some of us didn’t get any before it sold out!

I noticed via Instagram this morning that Rainforest 2 is slated for Wednesday.
