In this kind of citations I do my best to only offer my personal opinion and avoid casting a blanket judgment. If something does not sit well with me I will say that I do not like it instead of saying that whatever it is is a worst thing ever because for someone else it could be the most beautiful object in the world. And I respect it!

I understand you, it is my opinion, if someone like tthis soaps, perfect. All is OK. Nothing else matters. All opinions are respectable.

This is why we have differents products, in this case soaps because we are different. I like X soap, you like Y and we are both right.

i only tell you my opinion and the opinion of some friends of mine.

Man , I love the Classic one.I think is one of the best shaving soaps I have tried so far.Love it's scent and performance. But reading so many commentaries about the new scents and how T&S decided to stop making the old ones , I won't get those ones.I even find the new labels hideous , to say the least.
Another good example of how to flush your reputation down the toilet.Hope they can revamp the old line.

I'm looking forward to trying out the Boreal Soap and Splash, it sounds like one that I would like the scent of during the warmer months. I'll definitely be grabbing Morroco as well when the weather cools off a bit, I'm intrigued with the smokey Rose description!

Aren't you always doing reviews? Condemning a product before even trying it, wow that takes class?

Well, I like the T+S scents but then I have very broad and diverse tastes (can I say that about scent?) in soap - I love all of the T+S, all of the B&M, L&L, WK and just about every other soap I've smelled with the exception of Tiki Out West which I don't like. My biggest complaint about some shaving soaps is that their scent is too mild. I appreciate subtle but mild to the point of non-existent is a major defect in my book.

One further thought on what I think is etiquette on DFS and that would be that going onto a merchant's thread to tell him that you think his soaps are the worst smelling soaps in the world is a little like going into your neighbour's house to tell them that you think their cooking is the worst smelling thing you've ever smelled. That sort of thing might be common or even acceptable on some forums but I don't think thats how things are done on DFS. Its enough to say that you don't care for the scents. Scent is very subjective and not everyone is going to like everything but as long as we all keep our sticks on the ice, as Red Green would say, we'll all get along fine.

Gents,

I welcome any constructive criticism, and by all means share your opinions. But for things that are subjective (scents, packaging, etc) there are ways you can share in a nice and piolite way. "The packaging is not my style" would be an example.. calling something hideous is just rude and doesn't help anyone.
