You're going to eastern Europe? I'll be darn!

I hear mostly about western Europe.

And I get the idea that Lithuania has many rivers. Which means it much good fishing.

But my research is not complete.

My daughter went on a European adventure last year - she loved Croatia and also Hungary - she said Budapest was here all time favourite of the trip. My wife and I are discussing doing a river cruise. Maybe the Paris to Prague trip. My concern now is whether the whole refugee situation would have a negative impact on the experience.

I just checked my daughter's blog from last year, in Croatia they started in Zagreb, not much commentary on that then took a night train to Split and from Split took a ferry to the island of Vis which she considered to be perfect, lush greenery, beaches quaint villages , crystal clear water, great swimming and soaking due to high salt content. Split was also very interesting. She loved it. Now my wife and I want to go and experience it as well.

I loved Budapest but I was there 25-30 years ago so I'm not sure what it's like now. Next month, I am to spend a few days in Krakow, Poland so a new adventure awaits. Smile

I'm not so much looking for locations as shaving things, I know a lot of razor blades are made in Russia, I assume they make them in that part of the world because people there use them. So I'm guessing there are razors and soaps etc. Looking for suggestions for good finds that may not be available in North America
