Switchin hands while De Shaving?

I'm a head shaver.  I typically switch hands during my head shaves, but I tend to use my dominant hand for neck / face shaving.

I see head shaving in my distant future maybe not so distant at the rate the hair is going. Never really thought about the head shaving aspect that's a good perspective.

I shave the right side of my face/neck with my left hand, the left side with my right hand. 

I too learned to shave left (non dominant hand) handed through straight razor shaving. 

I couldn't get the hang of it until a guy on a forum recommended going through the motions with a straight with a taped edge (for safety) while watching TV.

Doing it by feel. When I actually went to the mirror to shave my muscle memory had developed enough to give me a leg up.

Good luck with your recovery, I know 'frozen shoulder' is a bear to recover from by itself, without the added healing of surgery.

Taping the edge of the straight razor was a neat idea. 
   Yeah the frozen shoulder sounds like a rough way to go.

You know looking at everybody's opinions and experiences that's a guy remember there's all kinds of ways.
    Also there's a lot of experience and knowledge here from all of the shavers.
Nice to have such a wealth of information to draw from too.

I like the idea of a taped edge straight or maybe a bladeless shavette. I’m surprised nobody has made a blunt practice razor. I’ve seen blunt practice Bali-songs / butterfly knives that allow practice without risking loss of fingers and blood. It seems a natural for straight razor shaving.

REM suggesting that to a well regarded straight expert. He scoffed at the idea

There are some things we do either by feel or by muscle memory such as tying a bowtie. ...

I cannot for the life of me describe or even remember exactly how I tie my shoelaces, yet I've been doing it quickly and effortlessly since I was four years old or so.
