I found this Swedish SE razor that uses wedge blades at an antique shop in Jackson, Mississippi last week.

On the inside of the case and the back of the razor head, it's marked as:

C.V. Heljestrand
Eskilstuna
Sweden

Very cool. I have a friend who lives in Eskilstuna. My guess is that most straight razor shavers are familiar with the Heljestrand brand. Hadn’t seen one of these razors before, though. Nice find!

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

andrewjs18, I love old razors like this. Is it a lather catcher? It certainly looks like it might be. How does it shave?

I believe it'd be considered a lather catcher, yes. I have not shaved with it...and not sure that I will.

I would certainly consider it a lather catcher.

Not many of them are seen on this side of the pond. That was a good find.

The latest info' I have is that it can use modern GEM blades. Cool! That makes it more usable for a wider audience.
