It is a different animal. It seems to be a love or hate razor as can be found in multiple forum posts here and elsewhere. Personally, I like the Hybrid better. Although I did find I like the Genesis more with the GEM blade hack by just taking off the spline. I have not tried the GEM hack of removing the spline and notching the blade. To me the GEM blade is sharper (cheaper too) and it does make the razor just a tad milder. Could be my imagination and certainly YMMV.
