The OP requesting suggestions for summer soaps specifically noted that he did not want soaps containing menthol. Many summer soaps do.

My face is sensitive to menthol. I tried synthetic menthol. Although it does minimize the irritation; I still get irritation. My skin is also sensitive to peppermint, lime, lemon, and grapefruit scents that are also common in summer scents. I have to be careful of bay rum scents as I am sensitive to clove. I can tolerate low low levels of these scents, but I have to be careful. I do not know whether the OP is sensitive to any of these scents, but it is a possibility. On the other hand, I love scents containing bergamot, mandarin, neroli, and orange.

There are also some floral scents that are good for summer. Yesterday, I shaved with Grooming Dept Kairos Lavender. it is a wonderful sweet lavender scent with no pungent, camphorus undertones. With temperatures as high as 89 degrees F yesterday, the Lavender was a good choice.

It’s a spicy pineapple-y mango musky lite patchouli scent.  It’s unique, very masculine, not sweet.  I’ve been wearing the splash on it’s own, many compliments….

It's my understanding that St Bart's and Island Man are very similar, based on the same cologne or something? If that is correct, what's the difference to your nose?

EDIT: Nevermind, Google answered it. Mind you it's from a post to another forum from 2018 (?), and soap formulas change (get tweaked). Basically, they're both homages to Creed Virgin Island Water . At the time, to the reviewer, Stirling was a bit more synthetic whereas A&E was truer to the original scent. Just in case anyone else was wondering like me...

NO Orbit does not contain menthol. It does contain a synthetic cooling agent sometimes called Koolada. Still a cooling sensation without the scent of menthol.

I just ordered and thoroughly enjoying Sphinx Beard (made by Peter Charkalis of A&E) Citrange and Ecstasy. Both dupes but great, light scents.

Lots of great recommendations. I'm really liking what I read about St Bart's
It would be great if someone would come forward and offer to sell me one (or even part of one)
