+1 for Paul's (mrdoug's) remarks.  Everything was well thought out and clearly communicated.  Good luck!

Razor: Wolfman WR2 (1.25 shimmed to 1.55 gap)
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts - “Sea Glass No. 3”
Soap: B&M - Eigengrau
Aftershave: McDuff’s - Crowsnest Pass
Blade: Feather

3rd and final shim test shave with the WR2. My verdict: the WR2 is much more efficient with the higher gap and easier to find the correct angle. That said it doesn’t magically transform this razor into something completely different. At the end of the day, it still feels very much like a WR2.

I wish I could say I love it enough to throw down $400 on a new one, but if I’m being truly honest (in a Journal of Awesomeness & Honesty), I just don’t love it that much. I enjoy so many other razors more (Yates, Lupo, Henson, Rex Envoy).

Have a fun Saturday. Be safe and enjoy life.

Razor: Wolfman WR2 (1.25 gap)
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts - “El Creador Oscuro”
Soaps: Los Jabones de Joserra - Black Rose
Aftershave: McDuff’s - Winter Cabin
Blade: Feather

Decided to do a WR2 shave with the stock gap of 1.25 after 3 shimmed 1.55 shaves. The Black Rose is such an interesting and complex take on Rose. There's a lot going on and somehow it all blends together nicely. I haven't chatted much about McDuff's splash, but I like it a lot. It's a non-alcohol splash that has mostly witch hazel and aloe vera juice in it along with a ton of other skin food. Feels really nice after a shave. Scent doesn't linger too long, but both my Wife and Daughter loved this scent which has a sweet, raspberry forward note. We all liked it so much, I purchased another bottle along with some other McDuff software.

Razor: Yates (Hybrid M-plate)
Brush: Prometheus w/ 28mm SHD knot
Soap: Los Jabones de Joserra - Rodrigo de Jerez
Aftershave: McDuff’s - Old Sea Captain
Blade: Astra Superior

Enjoyable shave last night! The Yates was such a joy to use after a handful of Wolfman WR2 shaves. Just felt right!

New to the den is this large handle/large knot Prometheus brush. Seemed pretty cool. Very soft knot that still ate up the soap.

Take er easy friends.

The Rodrigo de Jerez soap is perhaps my favorite tobacco scented soap and the performance is stellar IMHO.  Great choice.

Quick question, are these now collectors items?!

The koozie, not the bottle, given the new graphic.
