Razor: Timeless .95 OC w/ Scalloped Cap and Pineapple Handle
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts - "Burnt Butterscotch"
Soap: A&E - SoCal Hipster (sample)
Aftershave - Razorock - King Louis Lavender
Blade: Perma-Sharp

The cool Pineapple handle and SoCal Hipster soap sample were new additions to the Den (Thanks Dave and Jesse Dave in KY and jesseix ).

I owned the Pineapple years back and sold it off because I though it was just too long at 100mm. However, I'm starting to appreciate the longer handles again as long as the razor head has some weight to it and the overall balance feels ok. I like the appearance/design of Pineapple... very unique. thanks for the trade Dave!

The A&E was a pleasure to use as well! The scent was sweet and summery. The published scent notes are:
Pink peppercorn, pineapple, banana, passion fruit, mango, cade, oakmoss, sandalwood, cedarwood and musk.

I was able to pick out most of these notes and they were all nicely balanced. Of course the lather performance and post shave were awesome as well. This is a soap I would definitely buy a full tub of! Thanks again Jesse

Lastly, I used my "Burnt Butterscotch" brush. The shape and color turned out great on this one. Of all the synthetic knots I've owned, the 26mm Tuxedo is my favorite. It has the perfect balance of backbone, softness and density. You gotta watch out because there are at least 2 different "Tuxedo" knots being manufactured out there. One is far superior to the other... both look the same in the online pics. Maggards sells the good one. I also have a bunch on-hand and in my Etsy shop if anyone needs one.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Great read and glad the handle is a win for you. The brush handle I traded for sure is for me and need to get a knot in it. Just a GOOD Tuxedo at home and may use it until I change my mind. Have a good day !

Razor: Wolfman WR1 (.80 gap)
Brush: Brad Sears - Arley
Soap: Zingari Man - Watchman
Aftershave: Cella - Bio
Blade: Perma-Sharp

Had an awesome shave this morning with the Wolfman. Lotta blade feel, but a super close driver. Took a couple days of stubble down with ease.

Hope you guys have a great Sunday.

I got football on the tele and some Yellow Chicken Curry rolling in the Crockpot. Today will be a good day!

Super close shave this morning with the funky Wunderbar slant.

Absolutely love the scent on Eigengrau and Taum Sauk. A perfect combo!

Oh, and Perma-Sharp blades are my new go-to favorite! They really seem to last a long time for me and are smooth in every razor I own.

Razor: Rex Envoy
Brush: That Darn Rob w/ 26mm Oumo SHD Knot
Soap: Los Jabones de Joserra - Kush
Aftershave: 4711
Blade: Wizamet

Another crazy stormy night here in the PNW! Didn't sleep too well since it sounded like the roof was going to tear off the house. And man, that alarm clock came way too early this morning and I stumbled around half asleep trying to round up hardware and software for the shave. It all came together though and it was a damn fine shave!

The Envoy never lets me down. Just a solid driver with an awesome gripy handle (which I need at 5 AM).

Kush has a wonderful, sweet, complex scent. I've said it before in my Journal, but Los Jabones de Joserra has my vote for the best "artisan" soap. I'll put it up there with Tabac in regards to performance... which is the highest praise I can give a soap. I've enjoyed all the scents as well.

The 4711 is a long-time favorite and a good match-up with Kush. Also a good splash to use when you have to wear a mask for 9 straight hours at work.

Happy Thursday guys! The weekend is in sight. Keep on trucking!

Yeah, same as Dave, glad the roof stayed on and you're still in Kansas (or, rather, the PNW!)

Is the Envoy adjustable, or is that the Ambassador? Looks like a sturdy piece of equipment!
