Great shave and writeup Paul. I am going to have to rethink my appraisal of Los Jabones De Joserra soaps and spend some more quality time with them.

Today’s Handcraft:

Interesting how the color changes in lighting differences. In the early photos, it looked a deep red, then by the later photos, my eye picks up an orange tint, but still seeing a reddish tomato sauce looking color. And so smooth looking. Well done!

Thanks guys. The pour/dye is kinda my take on “butterscotch”. I’m a huge fan of the old vintage worn and weathered butterscotch handles that had that deep, burnt orange color.

This one is polished up, but still makes me happy and turned out the way I wanted it to. Might just keep this one for myself…. but then again the finished handles are starting to stack up on the bench and I can’t keep them all. I make about 5 per week. Sell about 3 per week. Maybe I need to start up an Etsy page or something.

I’m headed back to the “office” (aka Refinery) next month for 3 days per week, 2 days remote work. So, it will be interesting to see how that cuts into my lathe time.

For the last 15 months, I’ve pretty much lived in my shop and on the DFS board (with my work laptop on and lathe spinning) 

Three per week by word of mouth and DFS? I imagine Etsy would increase sales, but I am just flapping my gums!
