Happy Memorial Day to you as well.

I originally thought the handle was a dark wood! And I agree with Dave in KY, wish all mistakes were so "bad"!!

Same here.  The handle reminded me of the Amboyna Burl handles from Elite razor, and I though "Wow.  Paul must have invested in some seriously pricey wood."

You need to to screw up more often Paul.

Great work!

But I gotta stop looking. Can you post some boring stuff?

Razor: Timeless .95 w/ Mongoose Handle
Brush: Brad Sears 28mm
Soap: Wholly Kaw - La Superieure Dulci Tobacco
Aftershave: Razorock - 888
Blade: Personna Platinum

Mike was kind enough to send me some soap samples and I was really curious about a WK Cream! The scent is delightful. Light tobacco, maybe a bit gourmand. Not cloying or too sweet like so many of the WK offerings. It lathered up instantly and had exceptional cushion and slickness for the first pass. I may have added too much water because it fell apart, got thin and bubbly right after that. I'll need to try it again before passing too much judgement. Post shave is feeling good... but not sure what happened with that lather. Mike, how's it holding up for you on the later passes?

I'm glad you liked the cream Paul.  Your experience is remarkably similar to mine, except that you are much better than I am at describing the scent. Smile   I looked through my notes, and I did have some issues with thinning, but not in a bothersome way until touch ups.  Unlike you, I have the advantage of a full-size tub, so scraping a smidge more out of the jar solved the problem for me.  IMO that sort of easy reloading is one the things creams are good for, so I am a bit more tolerant in that regard with creams.  What I did notice in my notes was the pleasant scent, incredible cushion and glide, and the excellent post.
