Stop tempting us! Lol.

That looks so cool, spinning. I initially thought it was a cool pattern, then I realized it looks that way because it was moving. Curious how it'll look at the end.

Here’s how it looks after sanding... no polishing

I didn’t use a pressure pot, so the tiny air bubbles finished out as white specks on the matte black.

At first I was frustrated, but the more I look at it, they sorta remind me of stars in space.

Either way, a pressure pot will be the next thing I buy for this hobby

Yes! DSOTM is a great name for it Dave. That looks awesome! I can't wait to see it finished product.

Question... Can you polish a brush like that but keep it not so shiny, to keep the feel of deep space?

I think so! I’m actually kinda liking the matte look on these rather than super glossy... My family and I are always out searching for sea glass at the local beaches, so I’m kinda inspired by that frosted/matte look. Now I just need to find some light turquoise dye!

Here was yesterday’s haul in Port Townsend, Washington:

You can get a decent light turquoise effect by mixing tiny amounts of jade dye with even tinier amounts of white. This was one of my more successful attempts:

If I may, I'd even suggest the same Timberwolf knot that Smattayu in his Turquoise in your DSOTM brush.

It's a rough image, but gives you an idea. [Image: bce1157c9d6274d80d41514d4638f6ce.jpg]
