Razor: Karve (C Plate)
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts w/ 26mm Oumo Knot
Soap: MDC Fougere
Aftershave: Trotter Handcrafts Pre & Post Toner
Blade: Wizamet

Very enjoyable shave today. Much better luck today with the Karve... I swapped the handle and used a Wizamet. Funny how something as simple as a handle and blade can make such a difference.

The MDC just explodes with luxury lather in like 2 seconds flat. Pretty cool stuff although it is drying on the face.

Razor: Timeless .68 OC w/ TiBam Titanium Handle
Brush: Elite Razor w/ 25mm Shavemac D01 Knot
Soap: Tabac
Aftershave: Razorock SMDF
Blade: Wizamet

I don't typically like open comb razors. In fact, this is the last OC in my den! The Timeless really delivers for me though. I have a feeling its do to how it bends the blade along with the curved teeth. The .95 SB is still my go-to Timeless, but this OC .68 is a lot of fun too.

Used the Elite brush for the first time in a while. It was my first quality 2-band from at least 5 years ago or more.

I've been in the mood for a Tobacco scent for a while now and Tabac + SMDF was a super match-up.

Have a great evening shave brothers!

Great shave Paul! I had a 68 OC in My Den for quite a while, great razor. One of these days I'll try the .95 as it's much smoother than what I thought when I purchased the 68 OC from what I read now.

Razor: Timeless 95
Brush: Semogue 610 Boar
Soap: Grooming Dept - Incense & Oud
Aftershave: Thayers Rose Witch hazel
Blade: Wizamet

Well, I won’t drag up old soap stories, but I decided to give Grooming Dept another go since I’m somehow back to dabbing in trendy artisan soaps again.

Grooming Dept can now be purchased through several reputable vendors and it’s also showing up cheap on the BST forums these days. So anyways, this was my re-entry to the brand.

This is the Fortis formula. It’s the least expensive offering. Scent off the puck was not that great... all I could think of was a hair salon product/chemical. Luckily after lathering it up the incense and oud came through very nicely.

Performance was elite-level just as I remembered it from a few years ago. After the shave each of my 3 family members (at different times) commented on how good I smelled... a rare occurrence!

The shave was a darn close and an exceptionally good one. BBS as the cool kids say. The Timeless 95 and little boar are always a blast to use. The Thayers is my go-to easy and comforting splash. The Grooming Dept scent had no trouble muting the Thayers out well after the shave was over. Post shave feel is making me happy right now.
