Soaps were OK but overpriced. The ones I tried were nothing fantastic and I didn't care for most of the scents. I know they had stock issues with some vendors and didn't hear too many good things about their Customer Service.

I hope they closed on their own terms and wish the owners all the best. It's always sad to see an artisan go out of business.

I am impressed with the soap I bought from them which was Solsettio. It has Kokum butter, Shea Butter, Tallow and Lanolin. Very impressive list of ingredients in my opinion, it is a bummer I won't be able to buy their soaps after its gone.

Are there any other soaps with these 4 ingredients combined?

yes, all my top soaps at least have these 4 ingredients (Tallow, Lanolin, Shea, Kokum). This includes:

Barrister & Mann (Regular Line - Not latha)
Mike's Natural Soaps
Shannon's Soaps
Cold River Soap Works Select V2

Don't think Mike's has Shea, but I came here to recommend it also.

-edit yes it does. It also has avocado.

I was very sad to hear this Yesterday on Facebook. I have 3 of their full tubs and 2 samples. My favorite is the black tie and I'm about to get the matching aftershave so I can have this scent for a while.

Does anyone know the details of them closing their doors?

I saw today on Maggard's that of the 19 soaps - 12 are sold out.

I was wondering when this would happen to an artisan or two...or three. Saturated market.

One branding Haslinger for almost two months has opened my eyes. I just don't have a desire to go back to the artisan soaps. I have used CRSW, Mike's, Mystic, SdM and even the god revered Nuavia Red (which is a good soap) but none of those top Haslinger and Czech and Speake.

Total relief.

You'd better have a darn good soap on the market for 20.00 with all the options available to today's wet shaver. These soaps were good but for that price they had better be phenomenal and they didn't fit that bill. Hard to justify that price with so many other options available that are not only cheaper, but perform as well and in many cases, better. As others have stated, we may have hit a saturation point in the "Artesian" world. Too many soaps, not enough capital to make the process of making and selling soap worth the time and effort. I suspect we will be seeing much more of this in 2016.....
